Ektoras Tartanis will conduct several operas and symphony concerts during the 2022/23 season that include international debuts as well. At the Theater Freiburg he will premiere “Der Freischütz” and “Rusalka”. He will also conduct the revivals of Verdi’s “Macbeth” and Puccini’s “Madamma Butterfly”.

He will conduct a symphony concert in Freiburg with Russian repertoire including Ustvolskaja’s Symphonic poem No.3, Shostakovich’s symphony No.5 and Tchaikovsky’s violin concerto. He will return to the Athens State Orchestra in December to conduct a Viennese program with Hadyn’s 95th symphony, Mozart’s concerto for 2 pianos and orchestra and Beethoven’ symphony No.5. He will return to the Gera and Altenburg Philharmonic to present romantic works based on Baroque themes and music.

He will make his debut in Belgium with the Orchestre Royal de chambre de Wallonie for 2 concerts and a recording focusing on works by contemporary composer Michel Lysight. Later the season he will make his Mexiko debut with a symphony concert together with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Guanajuato. He will also make his debut in the second half of the season at the Greek National Opera.

Next to his conducting activities many brand new composition projects will be released throughout the season, such as videos, scores and recordings with his own music.
