Ektoras Tartanis receives the „Young Artist of the Year“ award for the season 2022/23 by the Union of Greek Critics.

The so called „Karolos Koun“ prize is the most important award for drama theatre and music in Greece and is given by an independent jury of 12 members. At the official ceremony on the 11th of March 2024 at the Olympia Theatre in Athens, Ektoras was awarded for his „groundbreaking interpretation“ of Beethovens 5th symphony in December 2022 with the Athens State Symphony Orchestra, offering a „fresh and totally new perspective and at the same time staying true to the score“.

It is the second major recognition Ektoras Tartanis received, after the Special Prize at the „International Khachaturian Conducting Competition 2021.“ The Athens State Symphony Orchestra is musical partner, that Ektoras developed a close relationship with over the last few years. He will return again in February 2025 to conduct his own music and work with the internationally acclaimed pianist Oleksandr Gavrylyuk.
