These are excerpts of the critique for the concert with the Athens State Orchestra at the Megaron Concert Hall by Giannis Sbolos - one of the most acknowledged reviewers for classical music in Greece :
General
"Tartanis ... was the absolute triumphator with the extremely demanding works of radical stylistic and aesthetic difference: the emotional romantic/national works and the intellectual/modernistic of Skalkotas.
"The interpretations had everything: geniality, glaring love and care, convincing balance between the emotional joy and the high temperature heroic and grandiloquent manner of expression. In other countries such a concert would be available as a "live"-recording."
About the dodecaphonic Skalkotas "Violin Concerto"
"Right down to the last detail worked out highlights and excellently fluent nuances, well-rounded contrast and an ongoing dialog with with orchestra, made this work seem unconstrained and self-evident."
About the works of Kalomiris, Sklabos and Petridis
"The genuinely romantic style ... was ideally shaped by Tartanis most notably with expressive immediacy and without any restrained."
